cross drilled rotors WILL crack at the holes, but they do a great job. Slotted rotors wont crack and still help. I use them on all my 98-02 accords on the front because of the accords LOVE of warping the undersized rotors. I use powerslot rotors and absolutley LOVE them. high speed braking is much improved.
As for pads I like ceramic pads myself. Just a FYI- ceramic pads + slotted rotors= low grinding noise until pads seat themselfs [took us about 2 days and you cant hear the noise above about 10mph]
