Brake Upgrades

I want to get some braided steel brake hose lines. My rubber ones are ready to go. What ones do you guys recommend?

I'm going to get some Hawk pads but I won't know if I need new rotors until I take off the wheels. I was thinking about getting some slotted and/or crossdrilled while I'm at it. Who do you like?

I used Eral's the P/N is 28A250 and i paid 74.12$ for 'em in '98 this includes both front's and the rear.

Here's the phone# (310)644-0881 or (310)644-2298 call them and make shure the'll work on your truck cuz my truck has the DH brake system and im not a 100% shure if the'll work on the LD brake sys.

One last thing slotted/ drilled rotors are a waste of $$$$ and there's no real performance gain because you will never drive your truck fast enough & long enough for them to be 100% effective.

Unless you just want them for the kool factor then go for it.

But i say save the money and spend it on something better.

I use crossdrilled and slotted rotors with titanium ti pads on my 98 and I like them quite well. The truck now stops better and they virtually eliminated brake fade. 10000 miles and no problems, and I am very hard on brakes......LOL

cross drilled rotors WILL crack at the holes, but they do a great job. Slotted rotors wont crack and still help. I use them on all my 98-02 accords on the front because of the accords LOVE of warping the undersized rotors. I use powerslot rotors and absolutley LOVE them. high speed braking is much improved.
As for pads I like ceramic pads myself. Just a FYI- ceramic pads + slotted rotors= low grinding noise until pads seat themselfs [took us about 2 days and you cant hear the noise above about 10mph]
