DO NOT remove the thermostat completely, the water will not stay in the radiator long enough to cool off Just buy a new 195 t stat and be done, Also side up under the front of the engine and see if the water pump is seeping out of the weep hole. could be dripping on the belts while it sits and Antifreeze and belts don't mix.
