For me, I thought it was silly that the harness goes to the passenger side for the engine when it's been much easier to run everything out right above the gas pedal. Of course my trucks have HEI and one wire alternators. I also refuse to jump anything off the starter terminal as I find it difficult to access and it can get overheated/melted easily.

Again, my trucks are also all V8. Maybe the sixers are different. If you are restoring, then I would assume you would be using a stock routing path.

I just pulled out a harness I picked up on C/L and started sorting it out. It may go in my 'burb and I'm thinking of using weather packs to do all the connections. It will not be stock!
