Almost all ladder frame vehicles flex.They usually use some of that flex to absorb road fluctuations.So when you see a drag racer that doesn't run that quick but has a roll cage,that's why.They use the cage to create rigidity in the frame.Adding triangles will stop "racking" but not actual flex.Unless they are triangulated to help strengthen and solidify the cage.
