But a high hp 6.5 is a helluva lot more unique than the usual Cummins swap.

Dude I don't need to read up. I work on them for a living. All 3 brands and all diferent makes in trucks and equipment. I wouldn't push a 6.2 or 6.5 much if I thought it was going to be used hard at all. Even if I had a boat load of money to spend I doubt I'd do it unless it was in a cruiser for fun. Sorry to ruffle your feathers, but I've seen more of these blown up than any of the dodge or ford diesels combined from the same era. And besides I bet that $10,000 500hp 6.5 won't make it half the time a 500hp 5.9 or 7.3 will. Anyhow, here's a pic of a board member's truck I found that has a 6.2 in it.
