Re: C20 Lowering/RE swap ??????
Find a '73-87 Chevy or GMC half-ton parts truck do the suspension swap. I did it on my '64 using a '79 Suburban. For the front, you'll have to drill two new holes and slot two existing holes in the crossmember. Buy a steering box conversion plate from Captain Fab. Buy a steering shaft coupling to mate the power steering box to your stock column from CPP. In the rear, use the rear axle from the parts truck. Just remember that it'll be 1.5" wider total than your stock axle, which isn't a big deal unless you want to go with a rim wider than 8" in the rear. Buy a rear axle perch kit from Brothers, CPP, Classic, etc. and weld them on. If you want to lower it more than 4", I would highly suggest a panhard bar relocation kit and a shock relocation kit. I got mine from Early Classic. To lower the truck, if you want 2" in the front, you can either cut a coil or buy a pair of spindles. In the rear, buy a pair of drop coils.
A conversion to 5-lug, power steering, and disc brakes take a bit of physical labor, but it's dirt-cheap and the benefits are fantastic.
