I've heard of people using sbc mounts on a BB, just not heard of it that way. I know chevy had an issue with BB mount problems until 71 and their fix was a cable or chain from the motor to the frame. they changed to the clam shell mounts in 72 and a different style in 73 that I think was universal for small or big.

I look at it like this. Torque, they may hold up for a while but thats not what it was designed for. I know its been done. just not how I would do it.

I'm sure someone will chime in who knows more about them.
