Did the new valve come with any instructions? The old one worked by grounding the brown wire (when there's a problem) so you should be able to rig up the new one to do the same. You said it has two connectors -- must be an internal switch. First thing is to figure out if the switch is open or closed when normal. If it's normally open, run a ground to one pin, and connect the brown wire to the other pin. That way when there's a problem, the switch will close, grounding the brown wire and lighting the 'brake' light on the dash.

But if the switch is normally closed, it gets more complicated. You'd need to rig up a relay.
