M17 : thank you ~ I'm not always sure if My Tech Help is appreciated or not .
It sounds to me like you have your fans set up and working O.K. , I wasn't sure before .
Always remember : your coolant should run as close to boiling temperture as possible for maximum engine life , power and fuel economy .
Dennis : SWEET ! I wish you were closer , I really want to find an honest & reliable Body Shop to rebuild my '69 Stepper .
RE Driveshafts : I'd pass on that hybrid U-Joint , take anu old drive shaft(s) with the correct ends and measure *exatly* how long you need it then hie yourself to the nearest Big Rig Repair Shop and ask who does thier drive shaft works ~ take it there as they'll know and for $150 (assuming they're honest) you'll get your drive shaft back cut & measured , balanced with two new greasable U-Joints , ready to pop in and go.... no hassle .
