Pls. DISREGARD this suggestion--I had not seen page 2 of the thread. My bad...sorry!
Also, IF the alter belt runs off ONLY the water pump pulley, then the 2 diff diam's on the water pump pulleys would be a non-issue. Therefore, I MUST agree with others' diagnoses that the alter pulley MUST be changed to fit the belt.
