Yikes, I wouldn't put a precision joint in my neighbors lawnmower.
What size joints are you using? 1350, 1330, 1310, 3r? Spicer and neapco both make decent ujoints built within some tolerances.

The precision 372 is for 3r-1310 so if the "big" caps have inside keepers (notice the flat areas on the inside of the trans yoke posted) and the "small" cap side is also significantly more narrow it might be the ujoint that you need.
