I ran into this the other day myself; I was trying to use '69 250 block mounts on my '73 or '83 292 block (IIRC). Not sure how it varies through the years (or if it does).

I decided that it seemed like I could redrill the mount and make it work IIRC, but I need to pull the correct mount off another 292 I have and check (hopefully Sunday/Monday).

Anyone else?
