I have to do the same thing. I think that's just the price we have to pay for living in the south. I don't use them (wipers) too often but I have to replace them 2 to 3 times a year also due to the blade deterioration. I have tried different manufactures and the results are the same. I noticed the ones I got a couple weeks ago came with a small packet of cleaner. It smelled like alcohol. I thought about cleaning the blades periodically with alcohol but I think that may dry them out even faster.
