Personally, I think the wind noise is "built in". The gap in the upper front part of the door is presented to the wind/air in a less than 90 degree angle, also, look down through hood opening back behind the inner fender, think what the air is doing in this space at speed. Some models had some kind of rubber air dam just ahead of the door, I have no idea how well it worked. I have a big piece of heavy felt and will cut off a strip and stuff in the void on leading edge of door to see if that helps. More later.
