My o6 trailblazer ss is like that . It is attached the the front hose on the water pump . So it will be fine .
As for those who don't think they need The steam line . When water is churned it pick up air in the coolant . As it travels in the system the air will find the highest point and collect .That point is in the upper front of the head . So a one time purge will not do . The 1st gen motors got rid of it because the thermostat is at the highest point above the heads . So it was not a problem . The ls engine design will not get get rid of it on is own . Can you run it without . Sure you can . Do you want cylinders running hotter that others . Most likely not . Especially on a performance engine . I prefer to have a steam line .
