i bought a similar product and was not impressed. it was difficult to apply, it has many chips in it from light duty hauling and it has faded considerably. i wish i would have never done it. but if you are dead set on doing it. here are a few tips.
make sure you mask straight lines if you are going to apply onto the bed rails as well. i didnt do a very good job and i have a crooked edge on my bed rail and it drives me nutz. also apply the liner in good light. probably not outside either . but in a wel lit garage. get ALL the rust off. if there is any left over....use it. you want as many coats as you can get. the instructions say to use only 2 coats. if i could do it over again i would use 10. the thicker this stuff is the longer it lasts. and lastly be patient. make sure all areas are covered. i missed alot of spots by not paying attention and i eventually had to buy a bed mat because my mistakes drove me nuts.
if you use a roller and are painting the bed rails, go very slow with the roller. if you go fast and furious like i did you will end up with many herculiner specs on the bed sides. very sh**** looking.
if i could do it over again i would have just saved and gotten linex. but if you take your time and paint on multiple coats you may be happy with what turns out. good luck.
