Great, I'm glad to hear that helped. The mastic product shown is similar but lighter in color (gray vs. black) and comes in a roll of strips. It's less expensive and I use it just as much throughout the car.

That sux, butyl is messy period. As suggested above you might try some of the mastic it does most of the same jobs.
Took a ride out to my friend Rex’s place to check out some black 66 Corvettes. One is an LS swap he’s been building to flip. I really like the black with red interior on this one. The other is a very correct local car I’ve known about for many years. The original owner passed, and it has changed hands a couple of times since. Rex is finishing a beautification that started years ago by getting it running and driving for the current owner.
