This truck had those same issues with back of the hood riding high, even with stock style new hinges/springs...I couldn't adjust it out.

These All American Billet hinges hold it down tight though. The mounts allow for a bit of adjustability...although on my setup, the holes were kinda at opposite extremes.

Edit: I don't know why the hinge pic is loading upside down...sorry.
