Rear window rubber - small window vs large window
So I ordered a rear window rubber for my '64 small window C-10 but was given a large window rubber instead. Normally you'd send it back but I bought it about two years ago, so that's not an option. My question is: can I use the large rubber and trim it to size, or do I need to buy a small window rubber? Doesn't look like there's any corners on it, so I thought it might be ok to just trim.
If it is ok to trim it, does anyone have a good measurement of how big it should be? Appreciate your thoughts on this. |

Since the small window rubber is also cut to length,
you should also be able to use the large window rubber.

Re: Rear window rubber - small window vs large window
Good to know, thanks for the reply. Looks like I'll be cutting it up!
If anyone's got a rubber handy that they could measure that'd be helpful, otherwise I'll measure twice and cut away. |

Put the seal in the cab first, and have the "join" at the bottom. Make it so that the seal overlaps a couple inches on both ends, then stuff the "couple inches too long" seal in so the ends but firmly against each other.
I wonder if you could get two small seals out of one large seal. This was my install video:
