Polishing the C50's 22.5 rims
Gottattooz paid me a visit today and polished all of my 22.5 Alcoa rims.
What a difference hard work makes! You can tell the amount of work is proportional to how dirty you get. What a guy! His Dad Spyder hung out too and watched the exciting job of me drilling holes in 1/2" steel. Worked on my shortened (10" shorter)front axle making spring plates to hold my reconditioned springs. Moved from 8 leafs to 3. Hopefully I can mount those shiny rims on my axle next week. Yes in the middle of the last pic is crazy Gottattooz

Re: Polishing the C50's 22.5 rims
A few more pics from todays polishing and drilling.
Thanks again so much to Josh for all of the hard work. Sill looking for bushmaster fender flares or C40-70 front fenders to cover the super singles

Re: Polishing the C50's 22.5 rims
looks awesome!
I got a little dirty after work as well, picked up a few wire wheels for the angle grinder and went to town on the under coat on my inner fender... one down one to go. I can't wait to see that big truck on the road! |

Re: Polishing the C50's 22.5 rims
How do the wire wheels work on the undercoating? I have always used a propane torch and a putty knife.

Re: Polishing the C50's 22.5 rims
Twisted wire wheel made short work of it... also distributed it all over my garage... I think I will be sweeping it up for a few days.
I think I will be doing the other fender outside... |

Hey!! I resemble that remark. I am a Diesel mechanic, but not for the Flying J. My dad was a fuel tanker driver for them, and those are his coveralls. Thanks, Gloria. -Josh

Thanks it Jesse I got my 275-70-22.5 tires mounted today. Need a few more days to get the axle back under the C50.
