Post pictures of your mufflers and exhaust system

I ordered my Spintech mufflers & X-pipe from Spintech.
I went by my original glass packs clearance to determine if they would work. But decided to go ahead and ask what all you've done to make sure I didn't screw up. (mainly to get some really cool ideas )

Re: Post pictures of your mufflers and exhaust system

Heddman long tube headers, to 2-1/4 duals, they come up into the frame rails after the crossmember, Turbo mufflers are tucked in close to the springs, and it dumps over the axle. Came with the truck, but sounds mean as hell.

You made me think I almost oversized my pipes! I ordered 2.5in, and after a quick check here I found it's what is recommended. dodged a bullet there. lol

Can't help you much my 292 was running straight pipe from the manifold back as the muffler had fallen off. Sounded mean kind of like a prop plane taking off.

2-1/2s are plenty good for our trucks. Hurts the low end a little, but it's not oversized for a healthy small block.

My truck gets enough flow from the tail pipes to blow leaves around that are 5-10 feet from the rear bumper, and it dumps at the axle.

Re: Post pictures of your mufflers and exhaust system

Couldn't tell you, haven't driven it besides up and down the driveay while moving it around. If it wasn't for CPP's lazy ass shipping methods I would have it on the road this weekend.

At idle it's very deep in the cab, but when holding the revs at about cruising speed it's got a nice throaty tone with out droning like flow masters. It has a mean bark when you wail on the throttle.

Trust me, I can't wait to get on an open road and let that 4bbl go wide open

2.5 inch with X pipe out to the bumper. Running Cherry Bomb Extreme muffs. Scares the old ladies on the side walk

I am running a Dr gas (same guy who designed the spin tech) 3" x-pipe with 3 inch Dynomax Super Turbos. I will post a picture and sound clip a little later.

Here's a sound clip that I really dig with the spintechs.

Re: Post pictures of your mufflers and exhaust system

here is a link (that i hope works) to a video of mine.
I have Jeg's long tube headers and a complete Stainless steel Magna-flow system with 2.5", x-pipe, polished mufflers, and behind the rear tire exits.

Re: Post pictures of your mufflers and exhaust system

I just got this link from another thread. It real similar to how mine are now, and I plan on doing it like this one.
My concern is the muffler location on a lowered truck.
Is this how you have them on a lowered truck?

Re: Post pictures of your mufflers and exhaust system

That's how mine are ran. The only thing I did was turn the muffler on there sides for more clearance since it was lowered. I want to redo mine and run them through the rear support at some point and time.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Post pictures of your mufflers and exhaust system

Mine sit right next to the springs over the trailing arms. Just have to tweak it so that it doesn't bounce off the muffler any more.

Plenty of clearence over the axle though. I'd have to start digging into the bump stops before I hit the pipes
