BONZEYE's 86 C10 LONGBED
I bought this truck from a guy down the street from me for $400. It needed a new tranny and everything else was clean about it.
-I got the tranny Rebuilt. -Did a rear end on leave swap on 4.5" blocks. -Cut 3" of coil in the front. -Had to take the front wheel wells out for clearence. -Shaved the side lights and passenger door handle and lock. (when i get the popper kit i will shave the driver side. I currently have the bed off and am designing a 2X6 C-notch for it, hopefully this weekend i can start on my notch.. Baggs to come soon also. |

Re: BONZEYE's 86 C10 LONGBED
Why such a big notch? You going to lay it out on some 30s? Your fabrication looks good other than that.

Good start to your project. I too wonder about the huge notch. What are your plans so far other than suspension?

Re: BONZEYE's 86 C10 LONGBED
Thanks for the comments. . The notch seems BIG cause i used 2x6 tubing. and in the V configuration it sticks up way higher. The plan was to put at least some 24" eventually. And the bumper lays about 6 inches further than the frame. So i figure when the bumper is grinded all the way down ill put some Titanium blocks on the frame and lay frame.
A big concern i have is what i am going to do for the fuel cell. |

Re: BONZEYE's 86 C10 LONGBED
I havent yet, I planned on cutting out a wedge n welding it in there and boxing in the section on the sides. A band saw would be great... It was kinda a weird shape in that section. And the frame changes from like 4" to about 3-2 1/2" on the other side..

Cool, how hard will it lay out now? I wanna see one with the bed set in place.
