Door check problems
Need to replace the driver side door check - how much of the door do you disassemble to get the job done?? - Just want to make sure I'm headed in the right direction.

Re: Door check problems
Door check this; then stand back and say, "Would you look at that!"

Re: Door check problems
I just did my passenger side about a week ago. Take off the handles, panel roll the window up and you should be able to reach in to replace it. The hardest part is getting the screws started that hold it to the door.

Re: Door check problems
My '65 I pulled the door panel and handles. Remove the pin and two screws. Replace with new one. I used the Jeep Cherokee front 4 door ones. This prevents the doors from opening too far and gives me two "stops" to hold the door open. Works great! Took me about 5 minutes per side.
