factory green and brown two tone trucks

Hi everyone,

I remember seeing a photo somewhere of a suburban with a light green metallic paint and a brown stripe as well as a GMC crew cab in dark green with a brown stripe. Does anyone have pictures of a truck in those rare two tone combinations, or maybe even owning a truck in that combo? I´m considering painting mine in either combo, but would love to see a few pictures first to figure out if I really like it or not....

Thanks!! Can´t wait to see what you got!

Re: factory green and brown two tone trucks

The only pic I could find online are a Blazer and a GMC crew cab in dark green with the woodgrain trim between the mouldings.

and one pictúre of a suburban in light green metallic with the woodgrain stripe.

I´m sure the cordova brown metallic would look similar in color (not caring about the pattern). So I´d like to see these colors or maybe the dark olive green from a 72 chevy with a brown stripe.

If anyone has any pics like that, please post them up. I need to figure out what colors I´ll paint the truck. Want something with OEM GM colors that works with a dark brown leather interior.

Are you talking about something like the butt-ugly wagon that Clark took the family to Wally World in?

Not sure which wagon you mean, this is the only pic I have (truck in the middle).... I was thinking of sth like this only in metallic... maybe dark olive green metallic and cordova brown metallic....

Just looking for real life shots!

Trying to decide if I should go for green and white, two tone green or the gree/brown two tone....

Just Google "Wally World Car", it'll come up.
It's not the colors that make it ugly, it's all the ugly that makes it ugly. It's green and woodgrain, though.

I think he's looking for a brown center tone, but not woodgrain?

Heres mine

Re: factory green and brown two tone trucks

Well, the only thing I could find, and I was digging some more was either the darker green like on that crew cab or the blazer with the wood grain or a lighter green with woodgrain like un this suburban.
I doubt they ever painted the center brown metallic... Sure that is what I´d be most interested in, however the light or dark green with the wood grain would at least give me an idea of what it looks like in real, not in a catalogue.

Thanks for the blazer pic, that is what the crew cab has I believe....

Suburban, light green/brown:

I see. Everything I could find with the brown center was woodgrain too...

is that the dropped one with the top and bottom in these colors? I´ve seen that one I believe, but I´m looking for the 73-80 with the center stripe...

Thanks for the pic, that gives me an idea of what a darker green looks like with the brown. You don´t happen to have a side view shot and 3/4 front and back view?
