Brought home the 67 Today

This will be the one I will use to build my daughter's truck her 67 will be for parts. This one last saw pavement in 1984!!! Pretty solid truck . Watch for "Project Sweet 16 " in build threads comming soon !! I'm shootin for 2010 to have it moving under it's own power. It will keep the 283 in it and get a 350 turbo trans. It's gettin a 75 crossmember and rear leaf conversion . Anyway here are a bunch of pics . Enjoy !! Bob

Re: Brought home the 67 Today

Yeah that's what happens when someone put's GMC hood and fenders on a 67. Notice I was quick to remove it when it got in the shop . I have 3 more 67-68 hoods so that's an easy fix . Bob

The '67 looks nice Bob, can't wait to see what you turn out for your daughter's first set of wheels.

Good luck with the teardown!

I have to agree w/ 70cstjr, I love those Chevrolet script valve covers; definitely keep those on there!

Re: Brought home the 67 Today

Why are you converting the rear axle to leafs? You do know the trailing arm setup is much better for handling and traction right?

Cheaper parts, easier to find,I can center the wheels in the wheelwell like they should be,and I like leaf springs . I converted my 68 to a dana44 w/leafs and couldn't be happier. To each his own I like leaf springs. Bob

WOW!

Very scary, as the blue truck looks like how mine came when I bought it.

Nice looking project, good luck with it!
