Hell if ya had a frame you could build a complete short bed stepper. I can't believe he parted such a nice original truck. I guess they're worth more in parts than complete huh?

I've seen listings from sellers who buy restored tractors and part them out, I sure hope the truck hobby is not going that way already.

MAYBE HE'S PARTING IT BECAUSE OF A TITLE ISSUE (OR LACK THEREOF). THERE ARE SOME OLD RUSTFREE TRUCKS IN EXISTANCE. IF THIS GUY IS LYING ABOUT THIS TRUCK (& I DON'T HAVE ANY REASON TO BELIEVE HE IS) THE BUYER WILL SURE BE P!SSED AFTER BUYING & EXPECTING A RUST FREE CAB. I GUESS LIVING OUT IN THE DRY, HOT WEST WILL CAUSE YOU TO START BELIEVING PEOPLE WHEN THEY SAY COMPLETELY RUSTFREE. JOHN

Did ya read the questions at the bottom? He says he is unable to take any more pics as well. I'd shy away from it just because of his inability to show the bad spots. If he was in the process of restoring the truck then he should know the bad areas to look for and should have directed the photographer to take better pics.

This is strange.... Yes the truck was in excellent shape for starters AND it had a BB 396 to boot. Unless I'm missing something, Doug

The 396 is out of a Chevelle that he pulled out about 8 years ago.

Whoa there bud... not meant as a direct response to your post at all.
You brought up a good point and I was just agreeing with you.
I was saying "how could he of HAD a bb in it" with a low hump cab, I was questioning the seller not you. Saying the seller was crazy, not you.

Wasn't trying to come off as an expert, just making an observation, sorry you took it that way...

I`m guessing the seller figures he`ll get more for excellent pieces(PA.rare)than for a "Plain Jane" w/o motor.I would have given $2000+/-in that form, but that`s me.Rust-free does exist in this area. There`s alot of ol`boys that knew to keep`em out of the salt and in the garage.I`ve seen rust-free bare cabs go for $1200 in PA.Still cheaper than paying a body shop to repair a rust-bucket.

.........$1200..there's a guy near me who brings back cabs from nevada and sells them for $2000 to $2500 each...now they are beautiful and rust free cabs but wow thats alot of money...they usually go quick too...

He has a cowl cover:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...539351777&rd=1

Someone was asking about one here on the forum recently. Auction ends in 7 hours. It's at only $20. It's a steal. Who was asking about it here?!
