need a part number or cross reference - a/c accumulator/filter/drier

I finished my ls swap and finally got my '01 truck compressor running and working with my aftermarket a/c unit. And then the compressor dies. Go figure. I have a 5 hr trip coming up Thursday and I desperately need to find a new filter accumulator in town tomorrow. My hoses are configured for a accumulator that has two male insert o ring 3/8 ends. My trinary switch is located elsewhere so that isn't an issue. Since this is an aftermarket unit I haven't found anything in town. Amy ideas what vehicle I can cross reference from? Again:

2 3/8" od
6 1/2" long
Two male insert o ring 3/8" fittings
Must be in stock. No time to order.

When I searched their site earlier, the site was messed up and would only show the first page. The drier you listed has female fittings, but I will look again for the male fitting equivalent.

Just take yours in to NAPA.

This one will work and should be in stock at any Freightliner dealer or truck parts store. Napa may even be able to cross it over for you. The parker/Freightliner part number is A22-14425-002 and it fits Freightliner FLC and FLD series trucks. The switch port has a Schrader valve in it so you don't have to worry about it leaking.

From what I have learned you don't need the dryer [sightglass] if you are running the acumalator in the system. If you have swapped over to 134-A you really don't need it because it want take as much 134-A as it did R-12 so it's always going to have bubbles in it when watching it. So if u fill it up to the point of no bubbles it's over filled and the AC want work as good and can cause compressor failure.

I thought I have read that you can't use the stock compressors because of the variable ratio guts? That they would last a while and then die. Thought you had to use an aftermarket compressor on an LS conversion?

Drier or accumulator is metering device dependent.

Driers are used with expansion valves because they want bubble free liquid refrigerant so a drier is placed on the high side.

Orifice tubes don't care about bubbles but need an accumulator on the low side to prevent liquid from getting to the compressor.

I think the LS truck compressors are fixed displacement.

This is correct.

Local parts house had something close and looting through the catalogs. Hoping to have it by end of day.

I'm confused. Do you need an accumulator? (low side) or
filter dryer receiver? ( high side).
You say you need an accumulator but show pics of dryers.

When I swapped all my stuff over I used the acumilator system with orffice tube instead of the old POA valve and drier. More effienct so I was told at the time. I was told not to use the drier because the 134-A would take less freon in the system than the old R-12 did so there would always be bubbles in the system and the window on the drier was to look for bubbles with R-12 and keep filling until no more bubbles. Either one can be used but I perfer the newer stuff that was made for the 134-A system.
I bought a new compresssor because the old A-6 never worked well with the cycling the system and 134-A freon + a new condensor for expansion also.
