67 Mechanical oil gauge meets LS 5.3?

Trying to keep my factory oil pressure gauge, so I bought the AutoMeter adapter and noticed that the 1/8 NPT threads on the adapter are larger than the factory threads on the line that screwed into the block of my I6. Has anyone ran into this and able to adapt?

Sounds like you're missing the brass piece that originally threaded into the block. The small line threads into that. Its about 3/4" long.

That's very possible. I just unscrewed the line from the block when I pulled the motor. I'll look tomorrow when I get to the shop. Thanks
