Chevy Truck Heritage Center
Ok guys...I was watching this video when they came upon our beloved model years (67-72). They have a 71/72...I'm not sure which year but...you will see/hear a couple thinks which were not true about our trucks. Can you ID the errors. There might be more than two but those are the ones I picked up. And...I might be wrong on the one ... Ok let the quiz begin.

Re: Chevy Truck Heritage Center
That is one...I don't think "stereo radios" were an option in our trucks. I thought all the AM-FM radios were mono. So you got one. I am impressed because I thought that was the harder of the two to guess. One down one to go.

Re: Chevy Truck Heritage Center
Some errors on the part of the person in the know....the black "57" isn't a 57. I think it's a '55. As for the question of whether or not the truck is a '71 or '72.....I think it's a '71, based on looking at the mirror NOT being mounted to the windshield.
As for the "host", he sounds like he really likes holding onto the mike......

I missed the 57 not being a 57. I wonder what else he mis-spoke on? The 71 still has something not correct. And it is...

The horn button?? I doesn't look right to me but it may just be the camera angle/glare.

Re: Chevy Truck Heritage Center
Nope. The '57 is a '56. The '57 had hood bumps (kinda' mimicking those on the '57 cars that had rockets in the front tips) and a completely different grill from the '55 and '56. The only really visible difference between a '55 (second series) and the '56 is the hood emblem. On the '55, it was configured more like a "T." This one is definitely a '56.

Re: Chevy Truck Heritage Center
Yeah, no stereo when you only got one speaker under the dash. Speaking of Gm heritage, I will only ever own pieces of it. No new government motors vehicles for me. It's a shame

The only way Longhorn Man will give away a case of Mt Dew is if you buy him three.
