67c10 build

Posted via Mobile Device
Day I brought it home after a lot of Craigslist searching. I could barely get it on the trailer, no springs front or rear and one tie rod haha

Re: 67c10 build

Great start, I cant wait to see more.
What are your plans for brakes, are you doing Disc up front and Drums in the back?
Also out of curiosity since the truck is pieced together from a bunch of different trucks does the vin plate on the cab match the stamp on the frame, because depending on the state it can be a real pain to make it legal again if it doesnt.

Re: 67c10 build

13" cpp big brake disk front. Pretty sweet kit, everything for the front came assembled. 2.5" drop spindles were raw cast though so I pulled it apart to powder coat the spindles. Only downfall is my stock 15s won't work as rollers cause they won't clear the brakes so it'll be camped out on jack stands for awhile

Re: 67c10 build

With suspension in at 4.5 in front on a 2.5" drop spindle and 2" drop spring set up for a sb. I may go big block and adjust the rear to match the front, maybe a 1" rear block setting it about 5/7

Yeah those big brake kits really like 16" or larger wheels.
It shouldnt be a problem though since more late model cars and trucks are comming from the factory with larger wheels and tires these days so the tires will be much less expensive than years past. Are you thinking about a 18" or larger wheel?

Re: 67c10 build

That bad boy is going to stop on a Dime, its going to be fun to drive.
I have tons of questions but instead of asking I will watch the project unfold because part of the fun of the build thread is unveiling all the details to everyone with pictures
I cant wait to see what you have in store for us.

Where did you get all these parts from? Is it a kit? Chasis looks almost as clean as your garage by the way, great job.
