Are these center-links all the same. I have always just thought that 68-70 were different than 71-72's, due to the disc brakes... I even bought a 71-72 centerlink years ago from a guy (only $15.00) thinking I needed a 71-72 centerlink in order to put on all new 71-72 tie rods, etc.. onto factory 71 spindles... so that all would be 71-72 correct (I know I could have just upgraded to the 73-newer, but that wasn't what I did)
Any thoughts on this...?

71/72 is larger.

You got what you needed. The center link isn't available new anywhere, there isn't any 'wear' related parts on it.....just a bar with holes in it. BTW, the holes are what is bigger compared to the 68.

The 71-72 center link is needed when you use the same year DB spindle. The reason is that the inner and outer tie rod ends only fit that center link. The 73 and up is not an interchange for the 71-72

I bought a 71-72 Centerlink years ago. Only $15.00, but...
I was going to feel stupid if the 68-70's were the same... I now have about 4 71-72 cenerlinks from trucks parted out over the years...

You can 'ream' the 67-70 drag links out to work w/the later model disc brakes too. Of course, if you can find a 71-72 drag link (or 73-87) that can be the easier option.

So if I'm reading this correct 67 front end stuff is one-year only application parts? Meaning it will not interchange with 68-70 fronts. Anyone know why?

American rider 67 is the same as 68-70. It is just the frame for the gear box is different. Other than that they are the same.

Joe67 No not reproduced at this time.

stevess11 Yes you are right but you have to get an adapter sleeve, someone posted where to get it but I dont rember.
