Here's a couple pics of it finally on the ground. Cut 2 coils out of the front, entire new brake system just being installed and ready to get the engine fired up......

Re: My 56 is on the ground.....

The tires are 17x8 all the way around. I got them for a heck of a deal from a guy name street rod Jerry who used to work with Foose. I can't remember what the ofsets were on them though. The rims are American Racing (Torq Thrust II's)

Re: My 56 is on the ground.....

i meant the tires, not the wheels. what is the overall diameter of you tire.

i am working out my final ride height, and i was just wondering how it compares to yours

Re: My 56 is on the ground.....

The rears are 255/50/17 and the fronts are 225/50/17. If I get a different offset for the rear, I could get a wider tire.

How many inches would you say taking out 2 coil is? I think I need to do this short term before I put air bags on.

Re: My 56 is on the ground.....

If you have brand new coils springs drive the car for a while because the springs will settle. Let the springs settle before you cut them or you may have too much of a drop if you cut them first and then the springs settle. If the springs are not new this is a mute point

I have used springs so they're alreay settled, I just need to cut them to bring the front down some.

NICE!!! thats a perfect color and stance for that truck.

I plan on our 58 GMC short fleet to be sitting lower than that once I get the Nova subframe welded on.

You GOTTA keep us updated on this one!! Nice work

Re: My 56 is on the ground.....

You guys are amazing! The quality work that's going into these trucks are fantastic, one question;

Do you plan on painting the upper and lower valance area a different color? It's masked off that's why I ask.

Tri5

Re: My 56 is on the ground.....

Tri 5, not it is already painted thats why it is masked off. The fenders just got painted so the ghost flames can be painted.
