Grounding strap

I just bought a 12 in grounding strap and i would like to know where it is conected to? Engine to firewall or engine to frame my batterys neg cable is conected to the frame any help will be good any pics of engine compartment ground straps would be good to

from the factory they had 2small gauge grounds from the firewall one to each valve cover and a heavy one from the frame to the engine also the rad core support to frame the bottom of the cab to frame and from the box to the frame // i'd suggest those as a minimum

i like grounds and run extras and dont have many electrical problems either

I would relocate the ground cable to the engine. that's where the mega amps are needed... at the starter.
I would then run the strap you just got from the engine to the frame.
You can now run small straps from body parts to the frame.

Some of those small straps were as much for radio interference issues as anything else. The large ones are obviously for the electrical needs of the vehicle. Lots of the small ground straps have been eliminated by folks who just didn't understand the reasons for them being included in the first place.
