Transmission dust shield

Is the transmission dust shield for a turbo 350 and turbo 400 the same? Thanks

No. they are different and you have to watch out for the pontiac versions with a starter on the opposite side.

Check a catalog and they will show you different part #s. National parts depot or a board vendor should be able to tell you more about it.

TH350 and TH400 use the same inspection cover.

Chevy T350/T400 same cover. Don't know about the BOP ones.

The covers are different as the TH 400 cover has a different hole spacing on one side. Attached is a picture of a TH 400 cover, (in front) and a TH 350 cover (in the rear). The TH 400 cover has pointed ears on both sides but the TH 350 has only one pointed ear.

You could probably redrill the transmission to make the TH 350 cover fit a 400 but I have never tried it.
