Car Springs
My friend has all four coil springs from a 1970 Chevelle that I thought I would try under my stock '71 C/10.
I was wondering if there was any experience here about this swap.(Like will it work, and if so what kind of results. LOL)

Re: Car Springs
I used a set from a 69 chevelle in one of mine with great results. I should have probably done it again, but ran into a set of drop springs this weekend and on the spur of the moment bought them. The ride really well, but don't plan on hauling very much with them in there.

I would be real happy with a 2/3 drop(for a while, hehehe). Finances have dampened the 4/6 target for a while.

Re: Car Springs
I run 70-72 monte carlo rear springs with air-lift drag bags. They're cheap, ride nice, and you can adjust the bags for a different ride.I did have to fab a different top spring mount so the airline could run through the center of the spring.

Re: Car Springs
I don't plan on hauling more much, you know, the semi-annual yard cleaning, a few boards from the lumber yard for small projects around the house, etc.
I guess the only other thing I'll need are maybe some shorter shocks. Any recommendations like a part number or application from a local parts store, or should I just order some from LMC, ECC or the like? Thanks for the help.

ChevLoRay:
Thanks for the tips on how to look up shocks by length. This will come in very handy when I'm ready to purchase new ones after installing the springs. Imacarguytoo: Quote:
I'm also considering shock relocation in the rear at least to get a more vertical mounted position. That Camaro rear sway bar swap looked rather inviting also. Oh Crap, I think I see a snowball rolling my way. !!!RUN!!!
