I need help with my doors

can manual doors be used instead of electrical doors. Had to replace the doors and now stuck with the manuals. If they will work I know I would have to cut out a section of the door to fit in the window motor.... right? or Im I wrong and cant use these doors at all? Help!

Re: I need help with my doors

As long as the doors are 77+, then you can use manual doors and retro-fit your PW/PL stuff into them. As noted, you will have to cut a hole for the wiring.

I dont know what year they came off of but I know i have to make the holes for the wires and the hole on the sides to fit the motor assembly but Is there anything else besides that? I did feel the window bracket inside so I might be able to use them

Are you sure about the hole for fitting the motor in. I think that most doors are the same, with the exception of the wiring hole.

Yes, all 77-87 doors are the same regardless if they came with power options or not. The earlier 73-76 doors did not come with power options bacause they would simply not fit...hence the redesign in 77.
