4WD Selector Lever Light Replacement?

Hello folks,

I have recently discovered the light/bulb that illuminates my transfer case selector, or 4wd lever inside the cab on the floor (i.e. 2 wheel hi, 4 wheel low etc.) has ceased burning. Any tips on replacing said bulb? I remember it functioning but there is no bulb visible inside the little plastic window.

The truck is an '87 K5 350.

Thank you for any help or information!

Re: 4WD Selector Lever Light Replacement?

there are 2 screws in the front and 2 in the rear of the black console. Remove them, and lift up. You will see the wiring and the bulb.
