need help, vortec head question
hey if i use vortec heads can i just swap over my old roller rockers and pushrods from my old non vortec heads or what?

i'm pretty sure you can't nothing else is compatable (intakes, valves, even valve covers) I'm not positive aand could definately be wrong. I would call Chevy but make sure it is a parts Department that sells a lot of performance parts and they will probably know for sure. I know you are in TN but if you want call Tim at Midway Chevy here in Phoenix. (602)866-0102 he will steer you in the right direction

No. They have to be self aligning rockers.

Oh, forgot to say, the reason is because the Vortec's don't have built in pushrod guide holes.

cool so i need to buy self aligning roller rockers right? the vortecs have 3/8's studs also like the old heads?

oh and whats the difference between self aligning rockers and non self aligning rockers? i mean what about makes them self aligning
