Heater Help
I have an 80 GMC, short step, 4x4, (no air) that started blowing steam out of the heater/defroster today. I would guess the heater core is shot. Any tips or tricks on changing this puppy out??

Your heater core is definately shot if you have steam inside the cab. You can also smell the antifreeze. Changing the part is simple and straght forward. Just take your time. Part is fairly cheap too. Replace the hose clamps with screw driver type instead of the stock plier type. The change will help avoid leaks. Replace the hoses if necessary. ------------------ Gerardo 1983 Custom Truck TX Plates: "BAD BOW" http://www.geocities.com/abetterchemist/ |
