Cracked Frame

The frame on my 86 is starting to crack around the steering box area, what is the best way to get this fixed?

Re: Cracked Frame

After you get it welded there are reinforcement kits you can by to put on there, I remember reading about them once.

Re: Cracked Frame

It's a pretty common thing and yes it can be repaired. "How" depends upon the severity of the cracking.

Re: Cracked Frame

ORD makes a great kit for frame repairs in this area http://offroaddesign.com/catalog/steeringkit.htm i built my own and am in process of boxing in that section of the frame for more durability.
