WTB: Good running 250 or 292

Hello I am looking to buy a good running 250 or 292, preferably in the San Joaquin valley. Let me know what you have and how much you want. Thank you.

My mom always had the best advice. It was just a tad late. After a fall that involved blood, she'd say....."Careful!"

Well Rene it looks like you are the only person who has found a good running engine. I will be talking to you more right after Christmas.

Hey Ryan my plans are to swap in a good running 6 and then make an attempt at rebuilding my 292. And you know a guy who might have what for sale, a v8 or 6?

Re: WTB: Good running 250 or 292

I thinkin I am going to sell this 350, but like I said the bottom end is a little tired and you would need an intake manifold, carb, water pump, fuel pump etc...probably not worth it right now especially if you wanna rebuild the bottom. And oh yeah did I mention the heads are off a smogger.

I want to do a straight six in the 63 so I need to free up my engine stand (and find a six to build)
Happy hunting and good luck brotha!

Hey thanks man I appreciate the encouragement. There is a 250 here in Lodi for sale but it the guy selling it knows nothing about it. I went and took a look at it. It turns over by hand but other than that its a gamble.

Ok cool I would like to hear it run before we pull it. Do you have an engine hoist?
