Rear brakes lock up?
I recently had my truck in the mechanic because the rear brakes were hanging up. It turned out the emergency brake had accidentaly been slightly engaged. While it was there, I had him check it over to make sure it would survive a trip to Kansas later this month.
I got it back home today, and while cruising the back roads in our area, I noticed that the rear brakes were locking up (I almost got it going sideways). The rear brakes had never locked up before I took it to the mechanic. Should I just back off the rear brakes a little bit? Is there something else I should do?

Re: Rear brakes lock up?
if you had been driving for any length of time with the emergancy brake on i would change the brake shoes and inspect those drums real carefully for signs of overheating

Re: Rear brakes lock up?
if the wheel cylinders got too hot they now could be leaking...wet shoes can grab...

Re: Rear brakes lock up?
Are you losing any brake fluid from the master cylinders rear reservoir? I had the same problem with my 67 C-20 and it was a bad dust cover on the wheel cylinder leaking fluid on the shoes, and it was really bad when the roads were wet, also when pulling drums on 3/4 ton dana 60 rear end, axles of course have to come out, so I went ahead and replace all new hardware cylinders all of it.
