headlights/dash lights don't work...
just rebuilt top end on my 350...
stainless valves, ported the heads, cam, edelbrock victor intake, liquid damper etc. bottom end only has 4000 miles on a fresh rebuild... but any way head lights didn't work after i got the motor back in... sprayed out the light switch w/wd-40 and lights worked.. then they went dead again, figured it was the switch...replaced switch, still no lights... no voltage at the lamp sockets...

Concentrate on the wires at the switch...shorted or corroded.
Then again, it coulda been coincidence that they worked after a cleaning. ------------------ '69 G.M.C. 350/350. Check your floor dimmer switch as well, when the one in my 66 C/20 went bad, the lights wouldn't work at all, but the dimmer switch still operated normally
