Back to the 58
After putting my 54 asleep for the winter,I drug the 58 frame back in shop.Yesterday I installed the brake lines to the rear wheels, still need to get some AN-3 flex hoses.next week I will finish brakes lines, gas lines and trans cooler hoses.I should be able to take frame to paint shop and install cab.cab is in primer, after I do a few more mods we will remove cab for paint.I still have a couple issues, like headers, and rear wheels.I set up frame for 12" wide wheels, but the ones I want (American torq thrust) are special made and are $3000.00 a set of 4 without tires,so that might change

Re: Back to the 58
That frame looks really good. I am hoping to paint my frame this week but need a dry weather window to roll it outside to finish cleaning it then back in for paint.
Hope it turns out as nice as yours. |

Re: Back to the 58
Winter are tough where I live, but I'm ready.Got the 58 fenders fitted and it is at the paint shop before the snow hits.I will go pick up front clip and weld it all together to smooth it out ,but still will be running front bumper

Re: Back to the 58
Hey that looks great!
I have been working hard on my frame getting it ready for putting the cab on. After finishing the sandblasting on the cab I found out I have to replace the lower hinge pockets so I will be a bit longer to catch up to you. Anyway good work. Look forward to watching your progress. Last edited by 56hotrodred; 04-10-2017 at 10:30 AM. |

Re: Back to the 58
Looking good. Just finishing a 2 year 1500 hour resto on my 58. Converted to big back window as well. Can't wait to get it done. Good luck with your build!
