Re: Has anybody seen one of these before?
Oh well, just call me stupid. I looked at that picture, and the emblem looked too long. I look now and don't know what I was thinking. Don't worry about me, I will be ok.
The heck of it is I was sitting right here beside a Super. All I had to do was look over. Sometimes it's better to keep your mouth shut, and appear stupid, than open it and remove all doubt.

Oh, I don't limit stupid questions to these trucks. I'm pretty fair in my application.

Re: Has anybody seen one of these before?
We are in the same world. Getting into the forgot more than we learned part of life. I could try to stop answering questions to avoid revealing this decline, but I think I'll just settle on answering "I used to know that. Hopefully someone will come along and remember it for me"

There are some other things that come along with aging but at the moment I cannot remember any of them.

Re: Has anybody seen one of these before?
Now the real question is can anyone remember what the "Super" package was?
Long before I was the old fart I am now I remember some old fart buddy of one of my uncles bragging that he had the "super" package But the rest is lost to me.

Re: Has anybody seen one of these before?
Hey everyone. I just wanted you all to know that today I saw a '72 Cheyenne Super. It was a very original unmolested truck, and it had a Super emblem right under the Cheyenne!!!

I remember, and can still picture it, a 396 emblem on a GMC truck I saw many years ago. Way back before I knew half this stuff about what was done what year and what did or did not come on a truck. This emblem was mounted lower on the fender near the body line. It was the three numbers 3, 9, and 6 kind of jumbled, like the '70s Jimmy emblems, and the numbers were painted red, white, and blue. I've kept my mouth shut about it until now. I am now 99.999% sure it was one-off since I've never seen another. But I really did see it!!! (I think?)

Re: Has anybody seen one of these before?
I’ve got a feeling That at 31, I’m a bit younger Than a few others here. Not much good to look forward to about getting old. My wife already says I can’t hear anything. It must all be starting to set in! I guess at least I don’t normally have to get out of bed to pee a few times a night yet.... Anyway, that’s really gonna suck. Haha
