LT4 Upgrade
Well I went and purchased a wrecked 2018 ZR1 SuperCharged Camaro with 10 speed automatic for my project upgrade......
I'm posting here as there are more C10's then my 1970 2WD Blazer and they are similar enough to get feedback. Checking to see who has installed a Supercharged LT4 in their truck to learn from their experiences. I do not want to purchase a new frame as I believe there should be enough vendors with upgrades to bolt on..... The 2WD Blazer has factory trailing arms and should be upgrades for these as well... I want a static suspension and not airbags. SO with this information I'm open to suggestions.. |

Re: LT4 Upgrade
Sell it to me, better yet give it to me. Hey, that's a suggestion. Just kidding Good luck with it. I am trying to convince me son to go that way with his 69 C10, but he is all about original. Until the stereo. LOL

Re: LT4 Upgrade
Ls is the wsy to go unless you have a new 350 in the shop
I have to say where are the pics of the car and the truck your going to build ? Many guys have used non turbo camaro exhaust manafolds with no fitment issues I am going western chassis 2.5 drop spindle with 1 inch drop spring and either a 4 or 5 in the rear The ece kits used western chassis and they are one of the original drop spindle manufacturers I would avoid the slider style swap mount plates I am looking at the ic billet 4 postion swap plates and the transdapt adapters as well as might try lsnova71 how he built his own from the truck mounts |

Re: LT4 Upgrade
Is the ZR1 a wet sump system?
Ensure you get the right PWM fuel pump for it otherwise you'll have nightmares getting running. |

Re: LT4 Upgrade
this is prob a wet sump, no dry sump in camaros that i know of.. here is a link to the tank i used putting a new silverado engine in my 67.. it has the mount for a ZL1 style fuel pump that works great with these engines with direct injection and the high pressure mechanical pump Siggyfreud is right go OEM on pump if you can

Re: LT4 Upgrade
ZR1 (Vette) is; ZL1 (F-body) isn't from what I've read about them.

Yep, ensure you get the right feeder pump, either OEM or an Aeromotive that's compatible with a pulse width modulation signal. Some magazines got an LT1 and LT4 started without a PWM pump (just used a regular instead) but couldn't get it running right afterwards. |

Re: LT4 Upgrade
I've been looking at LT's as well but the donor cars are still bringing a premium around here. I'm in to follow and learn.

Re: LT4 Upgrade
dont forget about the L83 and L86 silverado engines... L86 is basically an LT1.. I put an l83 in my truck, i got it and the 6 speed auto with 30 thou for 2500 .. Same direct injection etc..
