Re: Radiator Shroud for 6 cylinder
Hello there. I have several fan shrouds but not sure for what radiator and engine set up. Can you help me identify what you need for your 6 cylinder.
Thank you. Dan

Re: Radiator Shroud for 6 cylinder
Hi Dan.
I wish I could. Mine didn't have one on it and I don't know what it looks like. Thank you |

Re: Radiator Shroud for 6 cylinder
I'm pretty sure the six cylinders never had a fan shroud, just a finger guard. That's all my 250 had. My 292 never gets over 180 degrees anyway.

Re: Radiator Shroud for 6 cylinder
They made them as a "Heavy Duty Radiator Fan Shroud". There was one listed on this site before. Thanks.

Re: Radiator Shroud for 6 cylinder
My 69 inline 292 came with the RPO option "heavy duty radiator" listed but had no fan shroud, just the finger gaurd. Good luck with the search. If found, please post a picture.

Re: Radiator Shroud for 6 cylinder
My 69 has a fan shroud that looks like it may have came on it from the Factory, has the old sticker on it. I bought this truck 8 years ago out of the desert in CA. I post a picture of it.

Re: Radiator Shroud for 6 cylinder
Can you tell if there are factory numbers on it anywhere? How many blades are on your fan? Thank you.

Re: Radiator Shroud for 6 cylinder
I just ordered a new 3 row brass/copper radiator along with a fan shroud for a non a/c sbc for my inline 6 last week from LMC. Should have it by thursday this week and i will keep you informed if it works out.

Re: Radiator Shroud for 6 cylinder
I ended up buying a fan shroud from LMC for a sbc and cut it out to fit. I’m still wanting an original one for it.

Re: Radiator Shroud for 6 cylinder
Whe you say cut it out to fit, what is it you cut out? Im under the assumption that inline 6 engines came factory with the narrower 2 row radiator which wont accept any fan shroud except the top metal cover. I was told that using the wider 3 row radiator in my inline setup would then allow the v-8 shroud to be used.

Re: Radiator Shroud for 6 cylinder
I put in a three row factory radiator as well. I had to cut part of the side of the fan shroud out and the bottom so it would fit. My truck is a 1 ton chassis.
