It's not in yet but I have not seen one this short being sold anywere. If you know of one let me know because my sender bottoms out in this one just before being tight. So I tried to champher the end of the sender to allow it to tighten up only to find out their is a spring in the end of the sending unit

Back to the drawing board. Still waiting for the PM< to be returned from the guy who used to turn these down!

Can I make an off the wall suggestion. Why not get a T-stat housing that has the integrated spot for the temp switch. I know it's not quite as accurate as the head temp, but it is pretty close. Just an idea (I'm trying for a set of those plans!)
Would that work for you?

If I did not have an LT1 than yes it would work but on the LT's the housing is under the front of the throutle body and no room for a sending unit. I have also looked into the kits that put the sender in the rad hose but they are also only for 3/8" not the 1/2" that I need.

Could PM EROC and see if he would make up a few more, they are pretty handy if you don't have hole for the large thread. Worked good for me. Thanks again to EROC for his ingenuity.
