You young guys and your babe women, I tell ya.
---------------- My wife is always ready to lend a hand if I need one. She pumps the brakes when I'm bleeding one, helped me hang a hood a couple of weeks ago, chases parts, pretty much anything. And: keeps the house, is a great cook, and is my very best friend. I wouldn't trade her for anything. |

Re: Does your wife help you work on you truck?
Mine is supportive and never complains about the time spent on my truck or the money spent but as for helping,,,,,,,,,if I ask she will but she's gone as soon as I turn my back. Now and then she'll come out and keep me company while I'm working but that's pretty rare anymore.
In 97 when we found out we were going to be parents, and I put most of the truck away and sent a large portion to the scrape yard(rusted & junk) she pushed until I started messing with it again. In 2000 when the second son was concieved and I shelved the truck, she again pushed for me to get going on it. We've been together for 16 years, 2 great kids(1 gear head & 1 techie), 2 family battles with cancer she always pushed me to do what I love doing,,,,,work on my truck. Hell at one point she threatened to leave me if I sold what was left of the truck I started with. When I told her I found my current 70 she gave me bill money to get it, with the understanding I had to sell some parts to replace it. So yeah I think I'll keep her for awhile. Frank

Re: Does your wife help you work on you truck?
My wife will throw in a hand on any project if I ask her. I only usually ask when the chips are down and there is a deadline. Garage work isn't her first love my any measure but she's a farm girl and will get her hands dirty without a second thought.

Re: Does your wife help you work on you truck?
Did she leave you or are you leaving her? I never understood divorce. My dad and mom were married for 25 years then one day he comes out of the room and tells my mom he is leaving. No warning. Nothing....

I have never understood it myself either. My folks were married for over 20 years before they got a divorce.

Re: Does your wife help you work on you truck?
In divorce women can take our trucks, campers, houses, etc.... No big deal...
But I would fight to the death over my dog.... |

Re: Does your wife help you work on you truck?
I consider myself to be really lucky! My wife comes out to the shop to check on me and she'll help out if I need a "third hand". When I talk to her about buying or selling one of the vehicles (old trucks, cars, tractors, etc.), she listens, offers her opinion, but hardly ever says "I told ya' so!" She likes my old trucks, but she really likes to ride our HD Fatboy. She pretty much supports my addictions, like the old vehicle habit, hunting, and working on the house. We've been married over 21 years and she's just about a polar opposite of the psycho broad I was previously married to.
